eSIM technology (embedded SIM) lets you activate a mobile data plan without a physical SIM card. For an eSIM from Vuoly to work, your device needs to meet two basic requirements:
It must support eSIM (check the list below).
It must be carrier-unlocked — not tied to a single mobile operator.
⚠️ Regional note: Most devices bought in Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao do not have eSIM (they ship with two physical SIM slots instead), even flagship models like the iPhone 17 or Galaxy S25. Always confirm in your device settings.
How to check if your device supports eSIM
On iPhone: Go to Settings → General → About and look for an EID number. If you see a 32-digit EID, your iPhone supports eSIM.
On Android: Go to Settings → Network & Internet → SIM cards (or Mobile Network) and look for an option like "Add Mobile Plan" or "Add eSIM."
