Why do you need the IMEI and EID number to activate my eSIM?

What the IMEI and EID are, where to find them, and when Vuoly asks for them.

The IMEI and EID are two ID numbers built into your phone. You do not need them for most Vuoly purchases, but a few plans from local operators require them to issue the eSIM, and support may ask for them when troubleshooting.

What they are

  • IMEI identifies your phone itself. It is used to check that a device supports eSIM and is carrier unlocked.

  • EID identifies your phone's built-in eSIM chip. It is used to deliver an eSIM to the right device.

How to find them

  1. Any phone: open the dialer and enter *#06#. The IMEI and EID appear on screen.

  2. iPhone: go to Settings > General > About and scroll down to IMEI and EID.

  3. Android: go to Settings > About phone (on Samsung: Settings > About phone > Status information).

When Vuoly asks for them

If a plan needs your IMEI or EID, you will be asked for them during or right after checkout. Only share these numbers in your purchase flow or in a support conversation.
